A video titled “A Sanatani’s protein breakfast” has gone viral on social media, featuring a man named Tamal, originally from Israel, who has been living in India for years.
According to the post, Tamal came to India in 2009 and stayed at the Mayapur gurukul in West Bengal, where he learned Sanskrit, Vedic chants and worship rituals. He says he has been conducting homam since 2021 and regularly shares content related to spirituality and fitness, describing himself as a vegetarian bodybuilder who follows Sanatana Dharma.
In the viral clip, he shows the ingredients for his breakfast—soy milk, curd, cucumber, tomato, apple and bread. He also chops soybeans and cooks them in ghee, adding cumin, turmeric, asafoetida, salt and pepper, and finally a few tulsi leaves.
He then presents the prepared meal as an offering to God, stating that once it is offered, the food becomes prasad. The video and its message have drawn wide attention online.
