Anbumani issued a sharp response to a remark likening the situation to a catamaran developing a hole and slowly sinking, urging that people should not be made to “cry more,” addressing a person named Ravindran.

He also said the people of Tamil Nadu had brought a new administration to power because they did not want “money dominance,” indicating that public expectations were clear.

On livelihoods, Anbumani argued that promoting khadi and cotton clothing would help weavers, adding that such fabrics absorb sweat and suit India’s hot climate.

In the same set of remarks, he expressed pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in a position to advise the world, and cautioned that blind reliance on Google Maps has led to accidents such as vehicles hitting road dividers or cars falling into pits.

He concluded with words of appreciation for what he referred to as “golden stars.”
