Stockholm announced the 2026 Nobel Prize in Chemistry on Tuesday, as part of the annual Nobel awards that honour achievements in medicine, physics, chemistry, literature, economics and peace.
The chemistry prize follows earlier announcements in the medicine and physics categories for this year.
The award has been shared by French researcher Henri B. Kagan and Japanese scientist Kenso Soai.
According to the announcement, the duo were recognised for their work on an asymmetric organic synthesis method.
Kagan is associated with the University of Paris, while Soai is a scientist at the University of Tokyo.
