BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he is “a messenger of anarchy” and is seeking to create confusion in the country.

Prasad claimed Gandhi was “inciting disorder” while seated at what he described as a highly sensitive and security-important location in Delhi. He said the intent was evident in what he called repeated demands by Gandhi and other Congress leaders to reintroduce the ballot-paper system.

According to Prasad, the push for ballot papers reflects an inability to win elections using what he termed “honest technology,” and a preference for winning by capturing booths. He cited Congress’ performance in Bihar, saying the party lost and won only two seats.

He further alleged that Congress had faced defeats in Haryana, Maharashtra and Delhi as well, and accused the party of insulting the public mandate by seeking to nullify elections where people had chosen a winner. Prasad said he strongly condemned Gandhi’s overall conduct and also objected to what he described as “shameful allegations” made against the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and Mohan Bhagwat, recalling earlier remarks about the Army chief.
