DMK has claimed that Tamil Nadu’s GST collection has declined by 5% and has described it as a failure of the state government’s administration.
Responding to the charge, TAVEK rejected the allegation and said DMK is projecting the issue using partial information. The party accused DMK of not presenting the full set of financial data.
TAVEK maintained that the narrative of a 5% fall is being amplified without proper context. It said the discussion should be based on complete figures rather than selective numbers.
The exchange has added to the political sparring over GST revenue trends in the state, with both sides trading accusations over how the data is being presented.
