A young woman from Dehradun, Kaushiki Dayani, has reported an unusual twist after her iPhone was stolen a few weeks ago.

Soon after the theft, she used a secret passcode to lock the device so that it could not be used by anyone else. However, she later received messages on another phone—allegedly from the person who stole the iPhone.

In the messages, the thief repeatedly asked her to share the iPhone passcode, suggesting that keeping only the handset was of little use without access.

Disturbed by the repeated texts, Kaushiki went to the police station and lodged another complaint. In a post, she said thieves appear to have lost fear and seem confident that Uttarakhand police will not be able to catch them.
