Senior leaders of the AIADMK continued consultations for a second consecutive day following the party’s setback in recent by-elections.
The party is reported to have lost in two constituencies where it had previously secured victories, triggering renewed internal discussions on the way forward.

With the party facing a string of defeats, senior functionaries gathered at former minister SP Velumani’s residence in Chennai’s MRC Nagar for deliberations.
The meeting was attended by key party figures, including Edappadi K Palaniswami and C V Shanmugam, as the leadership reviewed the situation after the results.
