Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, addressed reporters at the Delhi Congress headquarters on Saturday.

He said the INDIA bloc would hold a large march from the Parakamba meeting point to the Supreme Court in the afternoon, calling it a fight to protect the Constitution. Gandhi said the protest was not about him or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and added that anyone—including BJP members—who wants to defend the Constitution could join.

Gandhi said a petition would be submitted at the Supreme Court at 3 pm. He also claimed that around 200 officials in the Modi government share government information with the Opposition, including personnel from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the CBI and the Ministry of External Affairs.

He alleged that Delhi had been “shut down” because Opposition parties were asking the government to prove there was no wrongdoing in elections. Gandhi said evidence related to alleged electoral irregularities had been sought at the President’s office, and that the Opposition would provide it.

Separately, the report noted that the Kerala Assembly passed a resolution urging the removal of Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
