A political storm has erupted after a video from the INDIA alliance rally in Delhi appeared to show Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi elbowing a man who moved in close during the march.
The rally, led by Rahul Gandhi, was organised by INDIA alliance parties and proceeded towards the Supreme Court. Protesters demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and called for an independent probe into complaints of voter-list “special intensive revision” and alleged vote theft.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, along with other alliance leaders, MPs and thousands of workers, took part in the march.
As the clip went viral online, the BJP shared it on social media and attacked Rahul Gandhi, alleging he was now lashing out even at his own party workers after repeated setbacks.
