Chennai: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is planning a new outreach initiative by dubbing films acted by Chief Minister Vijay into Hindi and telecasting them on North Indian television channels, according to the report.

The party believes its social media-focused campaign during the Assembly election helped it gain traction among women, youth and children. The report claims this support translated into electoral success, with TVK winning 108 constituencies and forming the government, after which Vijay assumed office as Chief Minister.

TVK is also said to be working on a broader strategy to build Vijay’s profile beyond Tamil Nadu. As part of this, a list of 500 social media influencers popular in North India has reportedly been prepared to publicise the schemes implemented by the Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu.

Alongside online promotion, the party is exploring film-based outreach to increase Vijay’s popularity among North Indian audiences. Efforts are under way to dub around 10 films—including Thirupaachi, Madurey, Thuppakki, Kaththi, Sarkar, GOAT and Jananaayagan—not only in Hindi but also in other state languages, with talks reportedly held with companies that produced the films and hold distribution rights.
