Chief Minister Vijay on Sunday congratulated Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on being appointed as the full-time Governor of Tamil Nadu.
R.N. Ravi, who had been serving as Tamil Nadu Governor, was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal in March. Following this, Arlekar—then the Governor of Kerala—was given additional charge of Tamil Nadu.
President Droupadi Murmu has now relieved Arlekar of his Kerala Governor responsibilities and issued orders appointing him as Tamil Nadu’s full-time Governor.
In his message, CM Vijay said he extended heartfelt wishes to Arlekar and expressed hope that his tenure would support Tamil Nadu’s development, safeguard the state’s rights, and serve the welfare of the people.
