PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has said that it is now in the hands of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay to turn the Prime Minister’s “pride” into something beneficial for the state.

In his remarks, Anbumani suggested that the focus should be on governance and accountability, including directing officials to submit monthly information on how long files take to be checked and signed.

He also made a wider political critique, alleging that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has not understood his limits and questioning how “dignity” is reflected when such statements are made. He further claimed that someone may be provoking Rahul to speak against the country and senior leaders.

Commenting on protests, Anbumani questioned whether they can be called peaceful when, he alleged, there are attacks on police personnel and damage to public property.

He concluded by reiterating that whether the Prime Minister’s “pride” can be converted into tangible gains for Tamil Nadu will depend on what the Chief Minister does next.
