President Droupadi Murmu has issued orders appointing Dharmalingam Lingeswaran and Balathandayutham Karthikeyan as new additional judges of the Madras High Court.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay extended his congratulations to the two appointees in a statement released on Tuesday.
He said the Madras High Court carries a long-standing tradition of dignity and high judicial standards, and expressed confidence that the judges would uphold the values of the Constitution.
Wishing them well, the Chief Minister said he hoped their service in the High Court would be successful and contribute to protecting the sanctity of justice.
