DMK president M.K. Stalin has raised questions over the rise in prices, targeting Chief Minister Vijay in a post on X.

In his message, Stalin referred to the Chief Minister’s travel to places such as London, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and said there was nothing wrong with such visits. However, he urged Vijay to also make time to visit a neighbourhood grocery shop and understand the price situation directly.

Stalin further advised the Chief Minister not to depend on inputs from the Food Department Minister, alleging that the minister would claim everything is “normal”.

He said people were not able to enjoy the festive season as expected and were instead gripped by fear due to the price rise, and asked the Chief Minister to hear their concerns directly.
