New Delhi: A Kolkata-based lottery company, Tiger Associates, has donated a combined Rs 260 crore to Tamil Nadu’s major parties DMK and AIADMK during the 2025-26 financial year, according to details submitted to the Election Commission.
The DMK reported total donations of Rs 191.19 crore for 2025-26. Of this, Tiger Associates alone accounted for Rs 125 crore.
The AIADMK, in its filing, reported total donations of Rs 161.36 crore in the same period, with Tiger Associates contributing Rs 135 crore.
The report also noted that Tiger Associates had donated Rs 110 crore to the two parties together in 2024-25, meaning its contribution has risen to more than double in 2025-26. Across the two financial years, the company’s donations to DMK and AIADMK total Rs 370 crore.
Separately, the Prudent Electoral Trust donated Rs 25 crore to the DMK in the assessed financial year. Most of the donations were made ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the report said.
