Flower prices have risen at the Thovalai flower market in Kanniyakumari district, according to a Dinamalar TV report.
Thovalai is considered a major marketplace for supplying flowers to Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The market plays a key role in the region’s flower trade.
Flowers grown in Kanniyakumari, Tirunelveli and Nagercoil are traded here. In addition, consignments also arrive from other centres such as Theni, Dindigul, Madurai and Bengaluru.
Traders said the market has been seeing higher rates for flowers, with the increase being noted during the current season.
