Tamil Nadu Minister Nirmal Kumar has accused the DMK of allowing a drug network to take root and expand in the state over the past five years.

Speaking in a political context, he claimed that the spread of narcotics and the deepening of the network happened during the DMK’s period in government.

He also made a sharp allegation linking the DMK to the supply of methamphetamine, describing it as a shocking claim.

The remarks have added to the ongoing political sparring over law and order and the handling of drug-related issues in Tamil Nadu.
