Actor Tiger Shroff survived a shooting incident in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Friday evening, police said. He was travelling in a car when a group arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire at the vehicle.
Shroff escaped without injuries, while two people — including the car’s driver — were hurt in the attack. The injured were reported to have sustained wounds during the firing.
Police were alerted soon after the incident and have formed 12 special teams to trace and arrest the attackers. The motive behind the shooting has not been disclosed so far, and an investigation is underway.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attempted attack, according to reports. A man identified as Anil Pandit, said to be linked to the gang, released an audio message warning film industry members against working with actor Salman Khan.
