Talk has resurfaced over whether former Union minister G.K. Vasan could align with TVK, and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss has responded with pointed remarks that underline the uncertainty around such a move.
In his comments, Anbumani alluded to Vasan’s history of shifting political alignments from one election to another, suggesting that any decision on bringing him into an alliance may not be taken in haste.
He also referred to internal criticism within the Congress, noting that party president Mallikarjun Kharge had spoken about those who had betrayed the Congress later being seen as close to Rahul Gandhi.
Separately, Anbumani touched on civic issues, calling for alternative arrangements and urging that mechanised cleaning equipment be increased, arguing that using humans for certain cleaning tasks is a serious mistake.
He further criticised what he described as a recurring “political ailment”, accusing some of misleading party workers and the party itself during elections, and also took a swipe at Chennai’s monsoon preparedness by referencing past public remarks on rain-related waterlogging.
