A new order has been issued after investigators failed to get any leads for 10 days in the case of a missing child from Alampoondi, near Gingee in Villupuram district.
The child, a seven-year-old girl, is the daughter of Vadivelu and Bhavani. According to the family, she celebrated her birthday on the night of October 11 and went to sleep at home with her parents.
When the family woke up the next day, the girl was found missing. Shocked parents and relatives searched in multiple places, but were unable to trace her.
With the search yielding no clue even after 10 days, a fresh directive has now been issued in connection with the investigation.
