Madurai: Tamil Nadu Congress chief Manickam Tagore on Saturday said the BJP’s so-called “Plan C” would not succeed in the state.
Speaking to reporters in Madurai, Tagore described the T.V.K.–Congress alliance as a relationship of brotherhood, and said the bond between Rahul Gandhi and Vijay would endure for a long time.
Referring to AMMK general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran’s claim that there was an attempt to make VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan the Chief Minister after the Assembly election, Tagore said Thirumavalavan is clear in his opposition to the BJP. He alleged the BJP is trying to create confusion in Tamil Nadu.
Tagore further claimed the BJP is executing its “Plan C” by using AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Dhinakaran. He also alleged that Annamalai was given a “new mask” and made to leave the party, and that he continues to speak in support of the BJP.
He added that the BJP is also preparing an actor as part of this “Plan C”, and claimed the actor would join the BJP along with a fan following. Tagore alleged the “remote control” for this plan is with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and reiterated that the BJP’s plan would never work in Tamil Nadu.
