A disagreement has reportedly emerged between former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister Y.S. Sharmila over plans to host a wedding at their family property in Bengaluru.

The luxury bungalow complex, popularly known as “Yelahanka Palace”, was built by their father and former AP Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on a 20-acre plot in Yelahanka. Before his death, he is said to have divided the property equally between Jagan and Sharmila, after which both built separate residences within the same compound.

As the two homes share a common campus, any major event held there typically requires mutual consent. The report notes that a property dispute is already ongoing between the siblings.

Sharmila’s daughter Anjali is scheduled to get married on November 25, and Sharmila has decided to hold the ceremony at Yelahanka Palace. She sought Jagan’s permission, but he reportedly refused, citing security concerns.

After his defeat in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Jagan is said to be staying mostly at the Yelahanka bungalow. He reportedly fears that the presence of photographers, videographers and catering staff could expose images and videos of his residence, affecting the safety of him and his family. Sharmila, however, is said to be proceeding with the venue and has printed the address on wedding invitations, advising Jagan to stay elsewhere on the wedding day if security is an issue.
