Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, his Lok Sabha constituency, where he took part in multiple programmes, including a large roadshow and an Indian Air Force aerial display on the banks of the Ganga.

As part of the visit, Modi travelled by a military helicopter to an Arvind Mills facility and inaugurated a new garment manufacturing unit. The trip comes amid efforts in the region to boost industrial investment and expand manufacturing activity.

He later proceeded by road to the Namo Ghat riverfront. Thousands of people and BJP workers lined both sides of the route, and the Prime Minister acknowledged the crowd by waving while standing in his vehicle.

Marking the Indian Air Force’s 94th anniversary, the air show titled “Wings Over Ganga” was held at Namo Ghat, with Modi attending alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The display featured IAF assets including Tejas fighter aircraft, the light combat helicopter “Prachand”, IL-76 and IL-78 aircraft, C-295 and AN-32 platforms, as well as frontline fighters such as Sukhoi-30 and Rafale. Aircraft from the Indian Navy and Army also participated, highlighting tri-services coordination.
