With Diwali approaching, Aavin has announced a hike in the prices of several milk-based products. The revised rates will come into effect from October 28.
Aavin, which procures milk and sells a range of value-added items such as curd, ghee, butter, biscuits, palkova, beverages and murukku, said the increase was driven by rising raw material prices, procurement expenses and other operational costs.
Among the key revisions, the 100-gram Aavin ghee bottle has been increased by Rs 10 to Rs 95. One litre of ghee is up by Rs 80 to Rs 770, while the half-litre pack has risen by Rs 30 to Rs 390.
Butter prices have also been raised: the 100-gram pack is up by Rs 10 to Rs 70, and the 500-gram pack has increased by Rs 45 to Rs 320. In sweets, 100 grams of rasgulla is up by Rs 5 to Rs 50, and the 200-gram pack has moved from Rs 90 to Rs 95.
Other items seeing increases include quarter-kg gulab jamun (up Rs 15 to Rs 115), quarter-kg palkova (up Rs 20 to Rs 150), quarter-kg mysore pak (up Rs 20 to Rs 160), and 200 ml lassi (up Rs 3 to Rs 23).
