Former minister Mahesh has said the government will not be able to prove the allegations levelled against him in a case.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he said he had already been questioned for about seven hours in connection with the matter and that he fully cooperated with the investigation.

Mahesh said he has now filed an anticipatory bail petition before the High Court. He alleged that the government placed certain submissions opposing the grant of bail, and claimed those arguments were “just a story.”

He further alleged that the authorities were acting with the intention of arresting him immediately if his anticipatory bail plea is dismissed.
