A man who lost a white earbud among white gravel reportedly found it within minutes with the help of ChatGPT, in an incident that has become a talking point on social media.
According to the account, the man was returning from a park with his son when he ran after the child. During the chase, the earbud case slipped from his pocket, opened on impact, and one earbud flew into the gravel.
With dusk setting in and visibility dropping, he searched for about 10 minutes without success. He then took photos of the gravel and uploaded them to ChatGPT, explaining what had happened.
ChatGPT asked for closer images, and after he shared them, it reportedly identified the earbud’s location in about a minute. The report notes that such AI accuracy depends on factors like image quality and lighting.
