Washington: US Vice President JD Vance has acknowledged that the Iran war was the main reason behind the Republican Party’s defeat in the recent midterm elections in the United States.
Speaking about the result, Vance said the Iran war was the cause of the party’s loss. According to the report, he added that the President had also made the same remark the previous day.
Vance said that while opinion polls had indicated a big win for the Democratic Party, the party’s own data had conveyed the same message. He noted that voter turnout was modest in some states and very strong in others, but said it was not disastrous in any state.
He described the core problem as the fact that many people who voted for Donald Trump and Vance in 2024 voted for the Democratic Party in 2026.
