
Stalin hails Centre’s nod for excavations at Keezhadi, 8 sites
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday welcomed the Archaeological Survey of India’s approval to conduct excavations at eight locations, including the 11th phase at Keezhadi. In a statement, Stalin said the clearance was obtained after sustained pressure and repeated letters to the Union government. He described the decision, which came after months of delay, as a victory for the state’s perseverance. The approved sites include Keezhadi, Adichanallur and Nagapattinam, among others, according to the Chief Minister.
