No need to panic over LPG shortage, Centre says
New Delhi: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said there is no need for the public to panic over reports of an LPG cylinder shortage, as the Centre is monitoring the situation closely. The government’s remarks come amid disruptions linked to the conflict involving Israel, the US and Iran, which has raised concerns over fuel availability. As part of measures to manage demand, households have been asked to book domestic LPG cylinders only after 25 days instead of 21 days, and restrictions have been placed on the supply of commercial cylinders.
